Supporting your teen

Hi, I’m a parent of a teen that was diagnosed with ALL

4 years ago. We will hit that magical 5 years in remission

mark next July, 2010. While that date is always in my

mind, there have been many stages we’ve gone through

in between — luckily no readmittance to the hospital!

I have a 13 year old son turning 14 August 19th.. post BMT in March of 2011. He’s enduring a lot of hip pain and having a hard time physically with stamina, etc…started physical therapy today. Will start school in a month or so. He gets so frustrated and at times asks “is it going to come back”. Ughhh!! Overall, he is doing good – no avascular necrosis, no significang GVHD. Just do not know what to do next.
