Hey Guys! I’m new to this site so I thought I’d introduce myself.

My name is Rachel, and at 14 years old I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Since then, I’ve gone into remission and then relapsed, so I had to have a stem cell transplant. I’m now 18 and in remission as far as I know, but I just had a CT scan and I’m really nervous about the results. I have this horrible feeling that my cancer’s come back again. I’m trying to be positive but I don’t think I can go through this for a third time.

I just wish I could feel like a normal kid again.

    I have the same thing. I got diagnosed when I was 16 and I’m going through my second relapse now. It’s really hard to go through and it’s hard to stay positive when it keeps coming back :\ I know exactly what you’re going through. if you wanted to talk you can e-mail me. it’s always nice to have someone be there who understands! katie912010@yahoo.com

    Hi Rachel, My name is Hannah. I’m 14 and 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I just started chemo last week. I’d love to talk to you sometime seeing how we have the same cancer. I hope your results came back good!

    Hey Rachel- I’m Kyle and I have stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma. I was diagnosed when I was 15, went into remission after I was 16, and then was rediagnosed when I was 17. I’ll be 18 in a few months. It was rough learning that I had to go through cancer a second time- I’ve been through treatment for another 8 months since I was diagnosed the second time though, and I think it’s been easier the second time around, in some ways. You know what to expect. You know your boundaries, and you know your limits. I wish I could feel like a normal kid too. I get nervous about a lot of the scans that I have. Do you ever get tired of people thinking that you’re so different than them? On the other hand, you wish that people would catch up in maturity. It’s not like I think I’m better than them…just mentally older. Let me know how the scan goes. I keep thinking that I can’t go on for much longer, but I’ve been thinking that for a while and I’m still here. There’s always a way, and it’s always worth it.

    Hey Hannah! Thankfully, my results did come back good, so that’s relieving. I am so sorry to hear that you were diagnosed recently, but I hope you’re coping well with treatment. :) Anyways, I’d love to chat with you.

    Hey my name is karie! I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma on october 12th, 2011. I’m not as worried about it because I know a man that can help me and anyone else who needs him and his name is JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!! I know he will help me with anything. If there is someone that has any questions about my savior Jesus Christ, I would be very happy to answer them. I just started my chemotherapy today october 13th, 2011. If anyone has any questions for me about my cancer i will gladly answer them also. :)

    Hey Hannah, my name is Cassidy. I am 15, and though I have not gone through any forms of cancer, all of the women on my mother’s side has gone through multiple forms of breast cancer. I offer you all the blessings in the world, especially because it must be hard growing up with something you can’t control. I look at people like you and say to myself, “They’re really tough.”

    I am doing a project for my Girl Scout Gold Award which tells people who don’t have cancer that people like you are real heroes. My project consists of interviewing 5-10 teenage cancer patients, and then creating a blog to showcase your recovery/struggle. I will also create a brochure geared towards families and people who are greiving, or have trouble coping with this horrible kind of situation.
