Life Changes

Hi, My name is Devon. I’m 19 years old. I have Hodgkin lymphoma stage 2a. I got diagnosed in September, after I had open chest surgery to get a big portion of the tumor out. I dont know anyone my age dealing with cancer. I wish this on nobody, but I still wish I had someone to talk to that understands what I’m going through. Even though I have cancer I still think my life is amazing. I just got engaged to the love of my life Keith. I have a supportive family and friends. I also have the faith of God and knowing that he will always help me through the bad stuff that happens in life. Well, if anyone wants to talk I have a cell phone and I have a facebook.     Hi! I’m Emrene, and I’m 15 years old, so I don’t know if you would consider that in your age group, but I just wanted to say: You are not alone! :) I was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian cancer (dysgerminoma), and I had surgery done last year to remove the tumor and one of my ovaries had to be removed as well, and then this year my cancer came back. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. I completely agree with you, I think life is great! :) A saying that helps motivate me is that God never puts you through more than you can handle, and everything happens for a reason. If you ever want to talk I have a facebook and a cellphone, so I’m here! :) Congrats on your engagement! I’m so happy for you! :D

    hey i’m 19 as well. i have Medulloblastoma T1 certainly not as scary or as aggressive as Hodgkin lymphoma. I have my surgery on monday, if you’d like to talk you can add me on facebook. good luck!

    hi.. im grea and i have sister shes 15 years old and has hodgkins lymphoma. she was diagnosed last 2010 and she was stage 4. she has undergone chemo and radiation. Her cancer was gone and now has come back. she has alot of complications. she’s on oxygen now because she cant breath properly. last year her lungs was filled with water, she had to be rush to the hospital and in the ICU for 2 weeks.and she cant even look up because when neck which was once really swollen has now shrunk after the chemo radiation and now she tilting. and because of that, she has scoliosis. and has stop school. but im glad she improving.. im really happy.. god is good..
