Very Scared.

Im Julia im 16 years old an yesterday i was told i have ALL. Im so scared an feel so alone. I dont have my parents really i do have my friends an my very supporting boyfriend. Im scared because i dont know what to expect with this rollercoaster ride that i will going on. So i just want someone that understands to talk to.

    I can feel your pain. I am 12 years old with a brain tumor, and I know its hard, but you will get through it like I will. People will try to say things to make you feel better, but it doesn’t work. If you need me, I’m here to talk to. (My teacher typed for me, if I type for myself it won’t be so proper;)

    Hi, makayla I was diagnosed with gardner system which is a type of colon cancer when I was 11 and I’m now im 15 and I have been in remission for 1 year now and I go back the end of summer to find out if my cancer is back. so I understand your scaredness. And i can’t really say anything to make u feel better but all I can say is it will get worse before gets better so don’t give up and if you need to talk to someone I’ll be here

    Hi, I’m Stephanie. I was first diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma when I was 8. I went into remission when I was 15. Last summer I found out that the cancer is back and it has spread. I’m 18 now. I’m really sorry about what your going through, I definetly know how you feel and if you ever need someone to talk to im here.

    Hi, I’m Bridget, im 14 years old I was diagnosed with ALL on the 29th April last year. It was a really bad year for me last year because I live in Christchurch and had to deal with all the earthquakes, this gave me extra motivation to fight this illness. I am still fighting the battle to date but I’m going ok and my body is responding well to treatment. Just remember attitude is altitude! :)

    Hey, I hope you’ve been able to cope with things in the weeks since you’ve posted. I’m about to start chemo myself in the next couple weeks, and I’ve been dealing with cancer on-and-off for about 10 years now. Believe it or not, life goes on and you’re not alone.     Julia, approach every day with the understanding that it is a blessing. It is not guaranteed for anyone…even those without cancer. I was diagnosed with AML and underwent high-dose chemo. I know how alone you can feel, but don’t let the weariness from the chemo and drugs place any depression on you. Life really is good. Just take a deep breath and only think about the moment. We can only live one second at a time, so don’t take on more than we were made to. Surround yourself with family and friends that are encouraging.
    Remember, you are not a statistic, so don’t keep reading about them. You are a new case with a new hope. This is just another battle that you can make it through.
    It was a long battle, but I am in remission…not a bit of cancer.
    Lastly, I will pray for you. Be strong, and I look forward to a good report.

    well , im not diagnosed by cancer but im glad i never had it, i really interested in it, i hope i can support you all guys, life is not about happiness only, sometimes we need to fight and dont give u to face the problem in front of us , we r strong!

    Cancer is just a sickness which try to make u weak, but i believe you all can fight it !
